Abstract

The in-depth integration of ideological and political education with student management in colleges and universities is an important measure for implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. As the main undertakers of ideological and political education and student management, counselors play a key role in building a collaborative work mechanism and improving educational effectiveness. Ideological and political education and student management share inherent unity in value orientation, educational goals, and practical fields, which provides a theoretical basis for deep integration. The collaborative mechanism of counselors’ work should cover four dimensions: concept coordination, subject coordination, content coordination, and method coordination. By establishing an operational system featuring goal guidance, process connection, resource integration, and evaluation feedback, and by providing guarantees through organizational leadership, institutional norms, team building, and platform support, colleges and universities can form a comprehensive collaborative education pattern. The proposed mechanism supports the transformation of student management from administrative coordination to value-guided education and improves the overall effectiveness, continuity, and precision of educational work.
