Abstract

In the digital media era, dynamic graphic design has become a core visual communication carrier in film and television packaging, online advertising, and interface animation, playing an important role in information transmission and emotional arousal. Existing research is often limited to single disciplinary perspectives and lacks systematic exploration of the intrinsic relationship between visual rhythm and emotional communication. This paper constructs a theoretical framework from motion perception to emotional arousal and clarifies the mechanism by which visual rhythm elements affect emotional responses. The Analytic Hierarchy Process is used to rank the weights of rhythm elements, including motion speed, change interval, visual intensity, and rhythm regularity. A dual validation method combining eye tracking and emotional self-assessment is then used for empirical testing. Results show significant differences in the weights of speed, interval, and intensity, with motion speed having the highest influence weight. Different rhythm combinations evoke specific emotional responses, and the rationality of rhythm design is positively correlated with emotional communication effectiveness. The study provides a scientific basis for optimizing dynamic graphic design in digital media environments.
