Abstract

Against the background of global competition and digital transformation in the hospitality sector, hotel management has shifted from pursuing operational efficiency alone to seeking sustainable development based on stakeholder value. This study introduces stakeholder theory as the core analytical perspective to explore the ethical dimensions and practical guidelines of hotel management. It first identifies key stakeholder groups in the hotel industry, including customers, employees, community and environment, partners and suppliers, and owners and investors. A four-dimensional hotel management ethics framework is then constructed around trust, dignity, responsibility, and win-win value creation. The paper further explains the ethical connotations and operational requirements of each dimension for different stakeholders. To validate and enrich the framework, a mixed-method approach combining questionnaires, content analysis, and case studies is used to collect data from customer, employee, community, supplier, and investor levels. Based on the findings, the study proposes systematic and operable ethical practice guidelines for embedding ethical values into hotel strategic decision-making and daily operations.
