Application of 5G Multimedia Virtual Reality Technology in Sports Dance Training

Abstract

Sports dance training involves technical standardization, training efficiency, adaptability to unexpected circumstances, and economic cost. This study investigates the application of 5G multimedia virtual reality technology in sports dance training and compares it with traditional training methods. A virtual training system is constructed through spatial segmentation, body-contour modeling, skeletal extraction, and 3D character modeling. The system captures real-time movement data, compares it with standard action data, and provides immediate feedback for correction. Ten groups comprising 100 sports dance trainees are selected for experimental comparison. Results show that traditional training achieves action-standardization rates ranging from 20% to 56%, with training time decreasing from 200 s to 120 s. By contrast, the 5G multimedia virtual reality training method achieves action-standardization rates ranging from 20% to 96%, with training time decreasing from 200 s to 80 s. Under special circumstances, the virtual reality model also improves attendance stability by reducing spatial constraints. The results indicate that 5G multimedia virtual reality technology improves training standardization, efficiency, flexibility, and accessibility.
